Application as an exchange student

Step 1 - Your nomination and application

 
1. Nomination and application of exchange students - ERASMUS + Program (including UK)  

The exchange coordinator of the home university must nominate students:

  • Nomination for the 1st semester or the academic year: between March 15 and May 1.
  • Nomination for the 2nd semester: between September 15 and November 1.


To complete the nomination, the coordinator must fill out the online nomination form:




Supporting documents to add to your student application  
  • Completed online application form
  • Passport-size photo
  • Copy of identity document
  • Letter of motivation in French
  • Provisional list of desired courses at Sorbonne Nouvelle (indicate the code and name of each desired course)
  • Certificate of French language level B2 (exam results or certificate issued by home university)

2. Nomination and application of exchange students - International Program
Nomination and application dates

- 1st semester (autumn and full year) : March 15 to May 1st
- 2nd semester (spring) : September 15 to November 1st

Students application Form 

To be completed by students individually

 
  • Candidates are required to have a sufficient level of French to enable them to follow the courses and complete the written assignments (B2 level).
  • Please note: we do not offer French courses for beginners, but semester-long courses are offered to exchange students to perfect their knowledge of the language, French culture and methodology. At the beginning of September, an intensive French language course is offered free of charge to exchange students on registration.

  • Transcripts of records translated in english
  • Provisional list of desired courses at Sorbonne Nouvelle (indicate the code and name of each desired course)
  • Certificate of French language level B2 (exam results or certificate issued by home university)

Once your application has been accepted, we will send you a letter of acceptance. You can then take the following steps: 

  • Housing 
    (If you apply to CROUS through us, don't wait for the acceptance letter to apply)
