With a view to fostering research collaborations between members of the YUFE Alliance, USN is launching its first call for postdoctoral positions which aims to:

• Integrate early-career researchers.
• Encourage scientific cooperation between USN and the nine partner universities of the YUFE Alliance.
• Attract and train future proof-researchers, building bridges between academia and society. 
• Enhance USN’s research profile, both internationally and in Europe.

The call is open to early-career researchers from around the world who have held a PhD for less than three years and will have defended their thesis no later than 15 July 2025. As part of their application, candidates must identify a primary supervisor who is a full member of Sorbonne Nouvelle and a co-supervisor from a partner university within the YUFE alliance.

This call is open to research themes and academic disciplines which align with the main research areas of Sorbonne Nouvelle University.

Post-doctoral applicants must comply with the MSCA mobility rules: they must not have resided or carried out their man activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.

Safe Place for Science:
In a context where researchers in the United States may feel hindered in their research projects, particular attention will be given to applications from candidates based in the USA whose field of research is impacted by the current political situation. More generally, we will give special consideration to early-career researchers from countries where science is under threat.

This call for proposals is financed by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, through the French National Research Agency (ANR), from the support credits granted to French universities that are members of a European alliance under the ‘France 2030’ plan (ANR-23-GURE-0015).
